Durable Execution
A.k.a. Stateful Orchestration 2.0.
The second of two SysDesignMeetup episodes on the subject of Stateful Orchestration is now out, concluding the year 2024.
This episode is called Durable Execution: video & slides.

The previous meetup episode that is the intro to this one, video & slides.
In multiple ways this episode wraps up a large chunk of my mostly open work of the past few years.
The content is very open-ended by design, since it is impossible to tell at this point what will the future bring.
One thing I am sure about though. The topic of stateful orchestration interests me greatly. Especially when what’s in the pucture is a self-organizing engine that involves a DSL and a durable execution framework. And it’s by far not just me who sees the potential in solving this problem right, and who wants to build this solution.

This post is not really a blog post. I just want you folks to have a decent collection of links in one email that is easy to forward. The slides are mostly self-explanatory, although, as always, the recording is far more lively, as we meander quite a bit.
Thank you, and may the rest of this year and beyond be kind to you.
PS: More is coming in 2024, it’s just on-air meetup episodes that are concluded for the year.
